About AussieChix

AussieChix is a regional chapter of LinuxChix, for women living in Australia, aimed at providing ways for women living in Australia to meet each other, talk about, and get involved in Linux, Free Software and related things.

AussieChix welcomes women interested in Linux or Free Software at any level of experience. If you haven't yet started using Linux, you might also be interested in some information about what it is and where to get it.

Men are also welcome to join AussieChix, as long as they understand that its purpose is "supporting women in Linux".

As of May 2008 we have approximately 80 members, the vast majority of whom are women.
